As the nights draw in and it gets colder outside it can be difficult to know what to wear to keep both warm and stylish. Well look no further! At Hostie Hats we have the perfect on-trend way to keep the chill off and still look great whether you are at the school gates, on a winter walk, at a race meeting, going into town to meet the girls or even at a winter wedding – The Fedora! Fedoras are such versatile hats, and look great with both a smart winter coat and a tweed coat and wellies for a winter walk.
At Hostie Hats we have 7 great fedoras to choose from, starting from only £49. Each of our fedoras is fully customisable so you can choose the perfect colour and hat band combination to suit you at no extra cost. You can choose from a range of 8 base colours from blacks and greys to warm wine tones and even teal for the ultimate colour pop! Not only can you choose your fedora base colour but there are numerous hat band options depending on the hat style you choose. You can choose a fedora with a simple grosgrain band, a beautiful beaded band in black, ivory or multi, feathered bands which can be dusted with an accent colour or full on pheasant feather fabulousness to make a real statement.
Our fedoras come in 4 sizes; small – 55cm, medium-57cm, large – 59cm or extra large – 61cm. We suggest you measure your head prior to ordering. The best way to do this is run a dress makers tape around your head just above your brow line and skimming the top of your ears – you may need an assistant to help you! Once you’re sure of your measurement simply choose the corresponding hat size at the checkout.
Ordering with us at Hostie Hats is easy, simply visit our fedoras page, choose your preferred fedora style then the colour combination you want.
If you’d prefer we can do that hard work for you, simply request a colour consultation before putting your chosen fedora style in your ‘hat box’ and we will be in touch to discuss you requirements, send you colour swatches and act as your own personal hat stylist.
We think that a fedora is such a great investment- the style is timeless and you will be retrieving it from your wardrobe year in, year out to complete your winter look. Treat yourself or put it on your Christmas list (we also sell gift vouchers)!
If you have any questions about our styles or service please don’t hesitate to get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org.

As an avid racing fan and racegoer I am often asked for my top tips on what to wear at the races in the middle of winter! Here are my top tips and they’re not all about hats…(I know, really!) Here’s a little piece I wrote for a magazine last season so I thought I would share it with you!
If you have a race day approaching like Ascot and Cheltenham it is time to find an outfit for the races that is stylish yet comfortable, whilst feeling warm and snug. Often at the races we are on our feet all day so choosing the right footwear is so important. Leather or suede knee boots will always look elegant and a wedge heel is always handy when walking on rough and wet terrain. A well-fitting tailored coat is perfect for the winter races and can transform your outfit, but forget about florals and pastels, choose darker richer colours in wool, velvet or tweed and don’t be afraid of winter white as this is always a real head turner. Follow the Duchess of Cambridge and add a felt pillbox or saucer hat, this will seriously up the style stakes and will complement the heavier fabric of a winter coat. For a more casual winter look a stunning tweed cape is chic and practical, team it with one of this seasons on trend trilby’s or fedoras to ensure you will always stand out from the crowd!
So before you delve to the back of your wardrobe remember a winter racing outfit can be styled for comfort and warmth as well as style. So enjoy your day at the races with effortless style and fingers crossed you get a winner!
