Summer Wedding Style!

As wedding season approaches we find ourselves delving to the backs of our wardrobes to see if our faithful summer dress will last another season. You can spend hours on the internet trying to find a hat or fascinator that will go with your outfit, unsure if the colours really match. Styling a wedding outfit can be a tricky business, you don’t want to upstage the bride or even be confused as one of the bridesmaids!! What you want to achieve is a stylish and elegant outfit that will make you feel good so that you can enjoy the day.

Wedge shoes are always an elegant and practical choice for weddings as there is nothing worse than making holes in the freshly cut grass with your kitten heels whilst trying to hold a glass of champagne in one hand and cradling a canapē in the other. Pashminas are no longer on trend so a slim fitting jacket or coat that matches your dress will keep the chill off your arms in church.  Finding the right hat or fascinator is so important  and can transform your look, but it can be a challenge getting it right. Think about the  balance of colour and structure in your outfit i.e. If you want to wear a floral or patterned dress it is best to wear a simple headpiece like our Longleat fascinator in one or 2 colours at the most to add balance to out your outfit, otherwise it can look a little overwhelming, alternatively if you’re wearing a structured dress which is made up of one or two colours you can go for all out with a statement headpiece like our ‘Badminton” or ‘ Chatsworth Fascinator’ to really lift your outfit.
